End‑of‑Year Exam Schedule: Important Information for Families

As we approach the final stretch of the school year, we want to ensure all families are informed about our updated end‑of‑year exam schedule. This year, we have made intentional adjustments designed to better support student learning, preparation, and confidence.

What’s Different This Year?

After evaluating student needs and receiving feedback from teachers, we have created a schedule that provides more instructional time and ensures students test with the people who know them best—their classroom teachers.

Key Points:

  • AP Testing will occur during the dates established by College Board at the beginning of May.
  • Statewide Assessments, District End‑of‑Course Exams, and Teacher‑Created Final Exams will all take place between
    May 18 – May 26.
  • This structure gives students more time in class before testing and places them in familiar settings when taking their exams.
  • Students with IEP‑mandated accommodations will test according to their IEPs, including small‑group settings where appropriate.

Attendance Expectations

Consistent attendance is vital—not only during the testing window, but throughout the final three days of the school year.

  • All classes will continue with required learning, even on days when class periods run on a modified or shortened schedule.
  • Students who check out early or have unexcused absences will not be permitted to make up missed work, which may impact final grades.
  • If a student feels they need a pre‑approved absence, families may submit a request at the link below.
This allows us to plan early exam administration if the request is approved by school administration:

The final days of school remain essential learning opportunities, designed to help students successfully transition into summer and prepare for the next school year.
