🚲🛴 Personal Mobility Devices on Campus: What You Need to Know
To help keep everyone safe and ensure smooth travel to and from school, here’s what families and students need to know about using personal mobility devices—like bicycles, scooters, skateboards, and golf carts—on school property.
✅ What’s Allowed
Students are welcome to use personal mobility devices to get to school, but using them on campus is a privilege, not a right. That means students must follow safety rules and school guidelines at all times.
🚦Safety First
- Walk your device once you enter school grounds (except for approved golf carts).
- Follow designated paths and routes set by school staff.
- Wear a helmet if you’re under 16—it’s the law!
- Be courteous and careful around others.
❌ What’s Not Allowed
- Gas-powered devices (like motorized scooters or bikes) are not allowed on campus for students.
- Unsafe or reckless use of any device can lead to disciplinary action or loss of privileges.
🛠 Storage & Responsibility
- Devices must be stored in the designated area.
- The school is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged devices.
🛑 Administrator Authority
School administrators can temporarily or permanently restrict use of these devices if safety rules aren’t followed. Students have the right to appeal decisions through the Student Code of Conduct.
