Good afternoon High School Coyotes,

Attendance matters at Cypress Creek—every period, every day. As we approach our next Early Release Day on February 25th, I want to ensure all families clearly understand the expectations for student attendance.

On our last Early Release Day, we saw a noticeable drop in student attendance. I want to remind everyone that although the school day is shorter in length, February 25th is a full instructional day. Teachers will be providing required learning in every class period, just as they do on any regular school day.

Please note the following:

  • Students are expected to attend all periods on Early Release Days.
  • Instruction provided on Early Release Days is not optional and is part of the required curriculum.
  • Students with unexcused absences on February 25th will not be permitted to make up the required learning provided that day.

Your partnership is essential in ensuring that every Cypress Creek student is present, engaged, and on track academically. Consistent daily attendance directly impacts achievement, progress, and overall success.

Students and their dads or father figures/caregivers are invited to join us for our next All Pro Dads meeting on Friday, February 27, at 7:00 AM, focusing on building strong connections and emotional intelligence. We had an amazing turn out in January, and are excited to see increased attendance on 2/27. Don’t forget to RSVP. The link is in the Howler Hub!
