OUR STAFF
Strok has previously served on band staff through the Waterloo Viking Marching Machine (Atwater, OH) in 2014-2017. Strok now serves as the Director of Bands at Cypress Creek High School (Wesley Chapel, FL). There she directs the Band of Coyotes, Jazz Ensemble, Color Guard, Winter Guard, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Concert Band. She writes and arranges all production music for the Band of Coyotes.
In November 2021, she led the Band of Coyotes to their first ever school Superior at the Florida Band Master’s Association Music Performance Assessment for marching band. In November of 2022, she led this same ensemble to the Florida Marching Band Coalition State Finals for the first time in school history.
Strok not only serves on staff at CCHS, but also serves on staff of the World Class Winter Guard International Indoor Winds Group, Horizon Winds. She serves as a member of their visual staff, joining for the 2023-2024 season. In the 2023-2024 season, Horizon Winds placed 2nd at WGI World Championships with a program record of 94.238, with Visual Caption scores of 97, 97.5, 92, and 93.
Trevor Feeley is a 2013 graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School of Kent, Ohio. Feeley marched with the Kent State University Marching Golden Flashes in 2013 and 2014. He also performed at Kent State as a part of their elite pep band Flasherbrass and their Communiversity Band. He served on band staff with the Waterloo Viking Marching Machine (Atwater, OH) from 2014-2016.
In 2014, Feeley enlisted in the Ohio Army National Guard and held the rank of E-4 (Specialist). He was deployed in Operation Enduring Freedom in Jordan in 2017. Upon arriving back stateside, he became engaged to his high school sweetheart, Katie Strok, and married her in 2019.
Feeley has served on the Cypress Creek Bands staff since 2019, where he has instructed the percussion section in marching, concert, jazz, and pep bands. He is also an avid writer and arranger for marching percussion. Feeley is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education at the University of Tampa. Expected completion is Spring of 2024.
Feeley helped cement his place in CCHS history by founding the inaugural CCHS Indoor Percussion ensemble, launching the group from last place in Scholastic AA in 2022 to 4th place Scholastic AA in 2023, taking the title for 1st place visual effect and 2nd place music effect.
Rachel Henry graduated in 2022 from Wiregrass Ranch High School. She now attends the University of South Florida to earn a degree in Information Technology. Throughout high school, Rachel was in percussion with her main instruments being the vibraphone and the marimba. Rachel participated in both FMBC and FFCC. She was part of the 2019 marching show “Red X” that earned first place in class 4A. She also received two third place medals in 2019 and 2021 for indoor percussion.
Rachel has served on the Cypress Creek Bands staff since 2022 to teach the front ensemble. During the 2023 indoor season, Rachel assisted the Indoor Percussion ensemble in a 4th place Scholastic AA finish, taking the title for 1st place visual effect and 2nd place music effect.
Tyler Perrault (b. 2000) is an American composer located in Tampa, Florida. Known for his blending of popular music and contemporary classical, Tyler> fuses many different styles of music that reach everywhere from American blues, to heavy metal, to minimalism, to serialism. Since the start of his composing career, Tyler has had premieres of many works of various sizes and styles. His educational band pieces have been played by bands across Florida, and many chamber works have seen their premieres during this time. Tyler completed his bachelor’s in music composition at the University of South Florida. Tyler has studied composition under Joshua Hobbs, Paul Reller, Baljinder Sekhon, and Benjamin Whiting.
Perrault previously taught elementary music at East Zephyrhills Elementary and was recently brought on as Director of Bands and Orchestras at Cypress Creek Middle School. Additionally, he maintains an active teaching schedule and has been invited to work with High School bands as a composer and guest conductor.
Patrick O‘Donnell is a freelance tubist and low brass teacher based out of Lakeland, FL. He holds degrees from Kent State University and the University of Washington, graduating from UW with a Masters degree in Brass Performance in June of 2020.
While at the University of Washington, Patrick was the principal tubist of both the University of Washington Symphony Orchestra and the University of Washington Wind Ensemble, where he had the privilege to perform at venues such as Benaroya Hall and the Xi’an Conservatory of Music in China during the Wind Ensemble’s 2019 concert tour of the country. While on tour in China, Patrick was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to teach several masterclasses, where he worked with young musicians in Chinese Primary schools.
Patrick currently maintains a very small private lesson studio where he teaches lessons both in person and via Zoom. He has been a member of the band staff at Cypress Creek High School in Wesley Chapel since 2021, serving as the Brass Caption Head for the Band of Coyotes. In 2022, he joined the Indoor Percussion Ensemble as support staff.
