In order to protect the health and safety of employees, staff, and students, all those who access Pasco County School locations must self-screen for symptoms and other risk factors of COVID-19 daily. If you answer YES to any of the questions, you should NOT be on a school campus or school district office. All three self-screeners – the Student Self-Screener, the Employee Self-Screener, and the Visitor Self-Screener – are accessible from the district’s COVID-19 protocols page and are posted on each school web page.

First Pregame Show in School HistoryThe Bands of Cypress Creek have experienced great growth and success since the program’s inception in 2017, including our first Superior rating in 2021, the addition of 4 new ensembles in 2021, an invitation to be St. Leo’s basketball band, and our upcoming FMBC premiere in 2022.

For a regularly enrolled band student coming from M/J band 2 or 3, they will perform with the Superior Band of Coyotes Marching Band and either the Concert Band or Symphonic Band. Both ensembles feature performance opportunities at Florida Bandmaster’s Association Music Performance Assessments, the Pasco-Hernando State College Instructional Performing Arts Center, various community events, local colleges, and more!

CCHS JazzIn 2021, the Jazz Studies program was added to the Conservatory of Music. This program focuses on real world applications of jazz studies–student lead rehearsals with a focus on gig driven rehearsal practices and improvisation led pedagogy. Students learn how to seek out performances through writing professional emails and working with promoters and managers to get themselves a performance.

The CCHS Jazz Ensemble has opened for the Tampa Bay Big Band and currently holds a monthly residency at the CCHS cafe.

The Lovers, The Dreamers, And Me: First Winter Guard ShowBuilding upon the success of the 2021 season, our colorguard will debut into FFCC (Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit), with their production titled “The Lovers, the Dreamers, and Me”.

This production taps into the child-like desire to follow your dreams, to wish upon a star, and to chase the end of a rainbow. Sometimes dreams are not tangible things, and it’s alright to let our hearts follow the optimism that they so often yearn for.

Our Colorguard is directed by Ms. Alyssa Santiago.

REFLECTIONS: First Indoor Drum Line ShowFollowing the breakout success of the 2021 field production, REBORN: A Hero’s Journey, the percussion department launched their FFCC indoor ensemble and their first indoor production, Reflections.

This show conveys the struggles of looking in on oneself and fighting with the image we have created for ourselves in the mirror.

The show is comprised of all original music by Trevor Feeley, Patrick O’Donnell, and K. Strok. The indoor percussion ensemble is directed by Trevor Feeley.

First Basketball Band in School HistoryAfter being sidelined in 2021, the Green Machine finally made its debut in 2022. The Green Machine is Pasco’s Premiere Basketball Band, performing at CCHS Boys and Girls home basketball games, and also traveling to St. Leo University to perform as SLU’s Basketball Band.

Students in this band perform a wide variety of music, including but not limited to, pop, funk, classical, broadway, hip-hop, R&B, indie, classic rock, and more! Rehearsals for this ensemble begin at the conclusion of the marching season.
