Good afternoon High School Coyotes,

This is Principal Carin Hetzler-Nettles with an important Back-to-School message.

We are excited to welcome all of our Coyotes back tomorrow, August 13, as we officially begin the 2026-2027 school year and celebrate 10 years of CCHS excellence.

Before arriving on campus, students should download the OnePasco app and log in to access their class schedules. Please take a few moments this evening to review schedules and ensure your student knows where they need to report on the first day of school.

Please remember that school begins promptly at 7:10 a.m. Students should be in their classrooms and ready to learn when the bell rings.

If you plan to drive your child to school, it is imperative that you arrive on campus before 6:45 a.m. Students may be dropped off before 6:45 a.m. and may wait outside the gates. All campus gates open at 6:45 a.m.

Please be aware that traffic will be especially heavy during the first two weeks of school. If you turn onto The Coyote Way at 6:50 a.m., your child will most likely be late to school.

To help address traffic concerns, we have worked closely with both the School District and the Pasco County Transportation Department to review traffic patterns, traffic signal timing, and our arrival procedures. These systems are operating at peak efficiency. The most effective way to ensure your child arrives on time is simply to plan for an earlier arrival to campus.

As we prepare for a successful year, I encourage all families to take time to review our school expectations with their students, including dress code, electronic device expectations, attendance, tardies, and other student conduct expectations. We will spend the first few days teaching and reviewing expectations with students, and consequences will begin on Monday, August 17. Starting strong and establishing positive habits from day one will help ensure a successful year for every Coyote.

As part of our commitment to clear, transparent, and consistent communication, you will begin receiving my weekly digital newsletter, the Community Howler Hub. This week, it will be distributed as a special back-to-school edition, and after that it will be sent every Friday.

The Community Howler Hub contains everything you need to know about upcoming events, important deadlines, student opportunities, celebrations, and the week ahead at CCHS.

To ensure all families stay informed, the Community Howler Hub is:

  • Emailed directly to parents and guardians
  • Sent via text message to the phone number on file
  • Shared through my weekly voicemail message
  • Emailed to every CCHS student through their school email account
  • Posted on our website, MyStudent, X, Instagram, and Facebook

You can also access current and past editions of the Community Howler Hub anytime through our website or by using the archive button located at the top of each newsletter.

We are truly excited to welcome back our students and families for what promises to be an incredible year. Thank you for your partnership, support, and commitment to ensuring a successful start to the school year.

As we celebrate 10 years of CCHS, let’s work together to make our anniversary year our best year yet.
