Pack Leader Application

Pack Leader- One of the key components of our “Coyote Pride” is the use of “Pack Leaders” in our 9th grade classes . “The Pack” consists of outstanding 11th and 12th graders who take Leadership Skills Development as an elective, and serve every day as mentors to 9th grade students and assistants to Coyote teachers.

Please check that you understand Pack Leaders (PLs) attend a summer training program and are then assigned to classes where they can best use their training, knowledge and skills. They are expected to set the example of Coyote academic success, maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA and have minimal discipline issues, having excellent attendance and positive behavior, both in their assigned classes and out. During the school year, Pack Leaders receive weekly assessment grades based on performance standards their assigned teachers expect of them. The PL advisor also monitors the Pack’s grades, attendance and behavior to ensure that they continue to excel in all of their classes. If issues arise, PLs may be placed on a probationary status pending improvement, reassigned to a different class position or removed from the Leadership Skills class altogether.
